what’s so great about a political education?
a political education empowers individuals to deepen their knowledge of self, as well as of their local community, their culture at large, and the governmental structures and policies that shape each one of our lives.
to bring about peace and freedom, we need more people empowered with these tools.
the library for good aims to provide a place to develop these skills, as well as become a gathering space for people to tell their stories and really be heard, as well as witness others’ and really hear.

Core
Values
Inclusivity
the library for good is a safe space for all. that means it is focused on combating: racism, sexism, ableism, classism, ageism, colonialism, and many more axes of oppression.
anyone with behaviors that demonstrate they are unwilling to unlearn the ways of these -isms will have their membership terminated, to keep the space safe for all.
Empathy
noun. em·pa·thy ˈem-pə-thē : a being aware of and sharing another person's feelings, experiences, and emotions.
(from Merriam-Webster)
Accessibility
it’s great when people ask questions like,
“If it isn’t accessible for free, how accessible is it really?”
&
“If it isn’t accessible to the disabled, how accessible is it really?”
these are the ideas we take seriously at the library for good.
Respect
when one treats others respectfully, it demonstrates that they are in the present moment, choosing to be thoughtful rather than reactive. this allows for better communication and harmony in our community.
